Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick has confirmed his goalkeeper plans for the upcoming Spanish Super Cup.
This comes amid confirmation that no.1 Joan García will retain his place between the Blaugrana’s posts for the tournament.
Shot-stopper Joan has of course taken his place centre stage in the headlines across Catalunya’s capital over recent days.
As much comes after the 24-year-old conjured up one of the performances of the La Liga campaign to date.
En route to a 2-0 Barca victory over neighbours Espanyol, Joan was nothing short of sensational, conjuring up a string of world-class saves.
Safe to say, then, that all of a Blaugrana persuasion will be delighted with the latest comments on the part of their side’s manager.
Speaking to the media on Tuesday, Hansi Flick was drawn on the speculation that he could rotate between the posts for the upcoming Supercopa.
The German tactician, however, was quick to assure:
“Joan García will be the starting goalkeeper in the Super Cup.”
