This comes after word was forthcoming in Spain that the 26-year-old has set his sights on a move back to the Spotify Camp Nou for next season.

Félix is currently plying his trade in Saudi Arabia with Al-Nassr, but is due to see his contract terms expire in the summer of 2027. It has in turn been suggested that the Portuguese has already touched base with his former Blaugrana employers to make known his desire for a free agent reunion.

And as alluded to above, on Friday, a fresh insight into the situation has come to the fore. The info comes courtesy of Spanish football insider Matteo Moretto, who, speaking to Marca, reports:

“João Félix would love to return to Barça, but there’s no room for him there.”

Moretto continued:

“Because of João Félix’s playing style, his physical build, his technical ability, and his knowledge of La Liga, he’s a great fit in Spain, and even more so at Barça. But for now, there’s nothing more than this.”
