João Neves has returned to Paris Saint-Germain's matchday squad for the first leg against Chelsea in the UEFA Champions League last 16. The tie kicks off on Wednesday at 20:00 at the Parc des Princes.

According to Glorioso 1904, the Portugal international resumed training on Tuesday after recovering from a left ankle injury. He had missed the previous two sessions but is now among Luis Enrique's options.

He had been sidelined since 25 February after suffering the injury against Monaco in the second leg of the play-off to reach the last 16. PSG advanced despite a draw in that match.

Luis Enrique will be without Fabián Ruiz and Quentin Ndjantou for the game. The tie also brings a reunion after the FIFA Club World Cup final, won by the London side.

The second leg is set for 17 March at 20:00 at Stamford Bridge.

This season for PSG, João Neves, valued at €110 million, has made 24 competitive appearances, 14 in Ligue 1, seven in the Champions League, one in the Intercontinental Cup, one in the French Cup and one in the French Super Cup. Across 1,834 minutes he has six goals and two assists.
