According to Leeds Live, West Ham are close to taking Joel Piroe on loan from Leeds United with a conditional obligation to buy, and the striker has been granted permission to undergo a medical ahead of a move to the London Stadium.

Piroe helped Leeds win promotion from the Championship in 2024/25. Last season he made 16 Premier League appearances, often an unused substitute under Daniel Farke.

His only goal of the campaign came in the FA Cup round of 16 win over Norwich City. Speculation over his future has grown in recent weeks.
