The DNCG appeal commission on Wednesday confirmed the exclusion of Girondins de Bordeaux from the national championships.

A hearing has been scheduled at the commercial court to consider a possible liquidation of the club.

Johan Micoud, a former Bordeaux player, reacted to the sanction on L'Équipe du Soir.

He said the club’s decline had been foretold since Lopez took over.

The focus is now on the court’s decision over a possible liquidation.
