Johanna Rytting Kaneryd has suffered an anterior cruciate ligament rupture, OL Lyonnes announced on Saturday. The Swedish winger will be sidelined for several months.

She joined from Chelsea in July on a contract running until 2029.

It is a significant setback for OL Lyonnes, who had earmarked her as one of their marquee summer recruits. She will undergo surgery.

Since 2022 she made 115 appearances and scored 12 goals for Chelsea.

During that spell she won three English league titles in 2023, 2024 and 2025, and two English Cups in 2023 and 2025.
