John Eustace has revealed the latest happenings at Derby County in the January transfer market
John Eustace has revealed the latest transfer activity at Derby County, as the Rams strive to solidify their status as a top-half Championship team.
Eustace's men have utilised the January transfer window to acquire defender Dion Sanderson and midfielder Oscar Fraulo from Birmingham City and Borussia Monchengladbach, respectively.
Meanwhile, the Rams have facilitated the exits of Darren Robinson, Curtis Nelson, and Ebou Adams, with the latter joining Championship rivals Portsmouth.
Derby successfully bounced back from their consecutive home defeats against Wrexham and Leeds United by beating Preston North End 1-0 at Deepdale on Saturday.

Alongside their transfer activity, the Rams are also preparing for their upcoming Championship clash with Charlton Athletic at The Valley this Tuesday.
Meanwhile, according to Derbyshire Live, Eustace's men have a wide player on their wanted list before the transfer window closes, albeit no specific names were disclosed in the report.
Speaking to the publication about his club's latest activity in the market, Eustace said: "We will wait and see. Obviously, we only want to bring in players that are good enough for the squad and improve us, not just bring bodies in for the sake of it.
"It's very evident when you look at all the squads around, even against Preston, who are throwing on all their bigger name players. The squads are strong.
"What we have got at Derby is a squad ready to fight and scrap for every point. That's all I've asked for. I'm very lucky to be working with a fantastic squad of players who will give everything for each other in the football club.
"And if we can bring in one or two to make us better, we will do. But if not, then I'm very happy with the group."

The Rams currently sit just five points adrift of the Championship play-off places, but securing a top-six spot may be a tough ask for a side who only won promotion from League One in 2024.
However, Derby do boast a squad which should be strong enough to sustain a top-half challenge, and, as alluded to by Eustace, may not have to add to their ranks to achieve that.
The Pride Park club enjoy the services of talented forwards such as Patrick Agyemang, who proved his worth once more on Saturday by scoring the only goal as his side defeated Preston.
Eustace also has strong defenders at his disposal, such as former Middlesbrough man Matt Clarke, who has started in all 27 of Derby's Championship fixtures so far this term.
The Rams have been without their top scorer, Carlton Morris, due to injury problems in recent weeks, while the quality of the wider squad shone through in recent wins over Preston and Boro.
Derby's ranks will be tested in their upcoming fixtures with Charlton, West Brom, and Bristol City, while it remains to be seen how much they will strengthen their squad before the end of the transfer window.
