La Liga outfit Celta Vigo have today been afforded an altogether timely boost on the personnel front.
This comes by way of confirmation that midfield star Jonathan Bamba has at long last returned to training alongside the rest of the club’s squad.
Bamba, for his part, spent the last two months back in his native Africa, lining out for the Ivory Coast en route to eventual glory at the Africa Cup of Nations.
In the process, the 27-year-old missed no fewer than ten of Celta’s fixtures – seven in La Liga, and three in the Copa del Rey.
An integral member of Rafael Benítez’s squad, it will in turn come as a boost to all associated with the Celestes to hear that Bamba is now on the verge of a return to matchday duties.
As per a report from Mundo Deportivo, the winger/attacking midfielder was on Tuesday spotted back in training at the Afouteza Sports City, alongside the rest of Celta’s ranks.
Ahead of a crunch relegation showdown with Cádiz this weekend, as much could not come at a better time for Benítez and his coaching staff.
