Jonathan David is a player Juventus want to offload during the final weeks of the transfer window, and the Canadian also wants to leave, but he wants the move to happen on his own terms.

David had always wanted to remain in Turin and believed his second season would be better. However, after failing to impress during pre-season, Juventus now believe the best option would be for him to leave the club this summer.

The attacker has attracted interest from some clubs, but not as many as he would have liked and certainly not from the top clubs in Europe. That has made David reluctant to leave Juventus despite the club’s desire to move him on.

However, the arrival of Randal Kolo Muani means David could struggle for regular playing time. Juventus could also sign another striker before the transfer window closes, which would make his chances of featuring regularly even more difficult.

David Accepts Juventus Exit

David has now accepted that he needs to leave the club, but he wants to have control over where he goes next. His preference is not simply to move away from Turin, as he wants to ensure that his next destination meets his expectations.

Sport Mediaset says David will only leave Juventus if he finds a club willing to pay him the same salary he currently earns in Turin. His wage demands therefore represent an important condition that any interested team would have to meet.

The Canadian also does not want to move outside the top European leagues. He wants to remain at the highest level and is looking for a club with a good sporting project that can offer him the right conditions to continue his career.

Juventus Wait for Suitable Offer

For Juventus, David’s demands could make his departure more complicated. The Bianconeri want to reduce their squad and believe his exit is necessary, but they may have to wait for a club that can satisfy his financial and sporting requirements.

David’s reluctance to accept just any move means the situation could remain unresolved as the transfer window approaches its conclusion. He has accepted that his time in Turin may be coming to an end, but he wants his next move to be right for his career.

With Kolo Muani already competing for opportunities and Juventus potentially adding another striker, David’s path to regular football looks increasingly difficult. His departure therefore remains possible, but only if a suitable club meets his conditions.
