Jordon Ibe has been charged with actual bodily harm and is due to appear at Croydon Magistrates' Court on Friday, 6 March.
According to The Sun, a Metropolitan Police spokesperson said the charge relates to an alleged assault on Sunday, 14 December 2025, and that the 30-year-old was arrested at Luton Airport on Friday, 30 January before being taken into custody.
Ibe, from Chislehurst in south-east London, has been released on bail pending the hearing.
The winger came through at Wycombe Wanderers in 2011, making seven senior appearances, before joining Liverpool in 2012 and featuring 41 times. Loan spells at Birmingham City and Derby County preceded a move to AFC Bournemouth in 2016, where he played 78 games.
He later turned out for Derby County again, Hayes & Yeading United and Hungerford Town, and now plays for Lokomotiv Sofia in Bulgaria. Ibe has represented England up to under-21 level, making 15 appearances for his country at youth level.
