Jorge Jesus said Cristiano Ronaldo is injured and expressed confidence the captain will be back after the international break, following Al Nassr’s 5-0 win over Al Khaleej.

According to Glorioso 1904, the Al Nassr coach added that Sadio Mané felt muscle fatigue and could not play, noting older players are more susceptible and that when domestic action resumes he expects them to be recovered.

The Saudi league pauses from 23 March to 3 April. Jesus regretted the timing as Al Nassr lead the competition with 67 points.

Even so, he accepted the interval could help key players regain fitness.

On the pitch, João Félix ended a lengthy spell without a goal by scoring twice and supplying an assist in the rout.

Jesus hailed the Portugal international, saying he had reached historic numbers he had not managed at previous clubs, crediting remarkable individual effort alongside strong collective work within the club.
