Jorge Mendes to visit Barcelona offices for key transfer summit | OneFootball

With only ten days left in this summer transfer window, FC Barcelona are still working on several transfer operations. In recent days, they have completed some big operations, like the departure of Ferran Torres to Paris Saint-Germain and the signing of Rodri Hernandez from Manchester City, but there are still several tasks yet to be completed.

Keeping in view the limited time, the Catalans are working tirelessly to complete these operations. In this regard, SPORT reports that an important meeting is set to take place in the Barcelona offices today, as the agent Jorge Mendes will visit the club to talk on several matters.

The one obvious reason for his visit is to be at the club to put the finishing touches to the signing of one of his clients, Joao Cancelo, who is expected to be presented as a new player very soon.

However, his visit will have other objectives as well, including talking to Joan Laporta and Deco about several market operations, particularly the departure of Marc Casado. The agent will convey to the club management the different proposals he has received for the midfielder, and wants to get an idea of what price the interested clubs will have to pay for him.

Casado is one of the players who is expected to leave the club in the last stretch of the market, and the income obtained from his departure can help the club complete other objectives, the most prominent of which remains the signing of a new center-forward.

Jorge Mendes has already helped Barcelona with several operations, including the signing of Joao Cancelo and Karim Adeyemi, and hopefully, he will once again be able to help them with the departure of Marc Casado, who is not really needed in Flick’s team with the arrival of Rodri Hernandez.
