Chelsea goalkeeper Filip Jorgensen has completed a season-long loan move to Ligue 1 side RC Strasbourg.

The 24-year-old joined the Blues in 2024 on a seven-year deal from Spanish club Villarreal, and departs west London after making 36 appearances in his two seasons at the club.

The Denmark international made 12 appearances during the 2025/26 season, first under Enzo Maresca then Liam Rosenior, keeping two clean sheets, as he helped Chelsea to FA Cup and Carabao Cup semi-finals.

Jorgensen was also part of the side who won the Conference League during the 2024/25 season, starting all but one match for Enzo Maresca’s side. He also secured the Club World Cup title that summer as well.

The Dane replaces Belgium youth international Mike Penders, who was on loan at Strasbourg from Chelsea last campaign.

In a short statement, Chelsea said:

“We look forward to supporting Filip throughout his time in France. Good luck, Filip!”

Jorgensen becomes the second senior Chelsea player to depart the club in a matter of days, after Trevoh Chalobah signed for Italian side Como in a deal worth around £30m.
