Joris Chotard set for €4m Brest move | OneFootball

Montpellier HSC’s Joris Chotard (23) is set to join Stade Brestois in a deal worth €4m, according to a report from L’Équipe.

Brest are in need of midfield reinforcements. Not only have loanees who spent last season at the club, such as Edimilson Fernandes, left over the summer, one of their key players in this sector, Mahdi Camara, has now left, too. He has joined Breton rivals Stade Rennais in a deal worth a reported €8m.

It leaves Brest in search of a new midfielder. Linked with Chotard throughout the summer, he is now set to complete his move to the Breton club. As per L’Équipe, an agreement between the clubs has been reached. La Paillade, relegated last season, will receive a €4m fee for the France youth international, whose deal at his formative club is up at the end of the season.

He is expected in Brest in the coming hours to complete his medical, ahead of signing a four-year deal.
