José Mourinho schedules meeting with Real Madrid youngster | OneFootball

New Real Madrid head coach José Mourinho has pencilled in a meeting with an up-and-coming Blancos starlet Thiago Pitarch.

This comes with a view to talking through the club’s plans for the 18-year-old for the season ahead.

The name of youngster Pitarch will of course be a familiar one to regular viewers of Real Madrid. Despite his tender years, the Spaniard burst onto the first-team picture in Spain’s capital this past season.

Under the watch of Álvaro Arbeloa, Pitarch racked up 16 total appearances between La Liga and the Champions League. The midfielder was even afforded starting berths against the likes of Manchester City, and Bayern Munich.

With Arbeloa having since moved on, and the aforementioned José Mourinho now at the helm at the Bernabéu, however, Real’s immediate plans for Pitarch are unclear.

An upcoming round of discussions between player and manager have in turn been scheduled at Valdebebas.

As per a report from journalist Álvaro Esteban:

‘Thiago Pitarch, after being proclaimed European champion with the Spanish Under-19 national team last week, will join Real Madrid’s pre-season this Monday.

‘He has a pending meeting with Mourinho to decide his future.’
