Jose Mourinho wants Lyon’s Nemanja Matić to join him at Fenerbahçe | OneFootball

According to Foot Mercato, Jose Mourinho ‘dreams’ of Lyon defensive midfielder Nemanja Matić (36) to join him at Fenerbahçe. The former Chelsea manager has identified the defensive midfield position as a key area of his new squad to improve.

Matić is not the only midfielder that Fenerbahçe are interested in. As reported by Sports Zone, the Turkish Super League club are also interested in signing former Manchester United loanee Sofyan Amrabat from Fiorentina.

If the Turkish club were successful in their pursuit of the 36-year-old, it would be the fourth time that Mourinho had managed the former Rennes midfielder. Matić is seen as an important figure at the Groupama Stadium and has had a major impact since he arrived at the Rhône club in January. However, the Ligue 1 club do have to sell players this summer after a busy window with several incomings.
