Josh Brownhill is close to being officially announced as a new Al-Shabab FC player.
The midfielder has been out of contract since leaving Burnley in the summer after five and a half seasons at the club.
Brownhill initially joined the Clarets from Bristol City midway through the 2019/20 campaign and went on to play 211 times for the Lancashire side, scoring 32 goals.
Now the 29-year-old is set to join Saudi Pro League side Al Shabab, who finished sixth in the league last season.
The club have recently reinforced with former Barcelona product Unai Hernández and ex-AC Milan and Fiorentina man Yacine Adli.
Although Brownhill has undergone a medical at the club and is expected to be officially unveiled shortly, there is still plenty of time with the Saudi Pro League's transfer window not closing until September 23rd.
