Attacking midfielder broke into the first-team last term
The 18-year-old midfielder is considered one of the club’s best academy products of recent years and has been rewarded with improved personal terms on a new contract that will run until June 2029.
Last season was a breakout campaign for King, who featured 11 times for the first team, including eight appearances in the Premier League.
The England under-19 youth international joined Fulham’s academy in 2015 at the age of eight and is seen by manager Marco Silva as a big part of first-team plans for next season.
“Honestly, I’m delighted about it,” King said of his new deal. “I’ve been at the club for about 13 years now, so it’s a long, long time, and I’m just delighted to be continuing and staying for another four years.
“I say to my family it’s like a second home, and it’s such a nice feeling to be able to stay here.”
Fulham’s director of football, Tony Khan, said: “Josh is an exciting young player. He has been with Fulham for many years and has consistently impressed and has developed well, with Marco giving him his senior debut in the Carabao Cup win over Birmingham City in August 2024, followed in December by his Premier League debut when he came on against Brighton at the Cottage, and this summer he’s also performed well for England’s under-19s at the Euros.
“We’re thrilled that Josh will be with us for the long-term! Congratulations, Josh! Come on Fulham!”
Earlier this week, it was announced that club captain Tom Cairney had agreed terms on a one-year extension. His contract had expired this summer but the Cottagers wanted to keep the 34-year-old on for an 11th season.
