Journalist: Chelsea among Premier League clubs interested in highly rated African star | OneFootball

RB Leipzig winger Yan Diomande is attracting interest from the Premier League with Chelsea one of the clubs according to Bundesliga insider Christian Falk.

The Blues once again heavily invested in their squad last summer, especially in attack as they signed five new forwards.

With the January window now open, Chelsea have inevitably been linked with a number of players, but reportedly the Blues will be quiet this month.

Chelsea among clubs showing interest in Yan Diomande

New head coach Liam Rosenior is said to be happy with the current squad, and whilst Chelsea aren’t expected to do much this month, they are always on the lookout for opportunities in the market.

One player who’s attracting a lot of attention is Leipzig winger Diomande, although any potential transfer would likely take place in the summer.

Chelsea have previously been linked with Diomande, and the the 19-year-old has really impressed for both Leipzig and Ivory Coast this season, and Falk has provided an update.

“Diomande has a long-term contract at RB Leipzig, until 2030,” he told his latest Bayern Insider column.

“So, he’s not really cheap. This is why you have to take the interest of Liverpool, Chelsea, Tottenham, and Manchester City very, very seriously.

“Of course, we talk about these clubs, and they’re the same outfits that have Said El Mala on the list.”

Geovany Quenda arrives in the summer

Whilst Chelsea are reportedly showing interest in Diomande, the club are very well stocked in the wide areas, and have another winger arriving in summer.
