Liverpool’s sizeable reshaping of their forward line over the past year has not deterred senior figures at Anfield from examining further additions. Attention has again turned to Bradley Barcola, with the Paris Saint-Germain winger emerging as a player of growing interest as recruitment plans continue to evolve.
Journalist Fabrice Hawkins has told Le10Sport that Liverpool have made an ‘advanced’ approach over a move for Barcola. However, they also face competition from Bayern Munich for his signature.

Liverpool’s summer activity was defined by scale as they committed around £300m on attacking reinforcements. The arrival of Florian Wirtz set a new club benchmark, followed by Hugo Ekitike’s switch from Eintracht Frankfurt and the record-breaking deal for Alexander Isak.
Yet the planning has not stopped there. With Luis Díaz moving on and long-term succession planning in wide areas a clear priority, the club have kept open several channels of interest. Barcola is among the profiles viewed as capable of stepping into a prominent role in the coming seasons.
Reports in France indicate that an advanced enquiry was lodged earlier in the year, with Liverpool and Bayern Munich both making their interest known. Barcola evaluated the possibility before opting to remain in Paris, but the situation is far from settled.
The 22-year-old has struggled to secure the prominence he believes his performances merit. With Khvicha Kvaratskhelia immediately establishing himself as a first-choice option and Désiré Doué emerging rapidly, Barcola has slipped down the internal hierarchy.
Despite starting eight of PSG’s opening 12 league fixtures, his status at the club is described as uncertain. He is a regular part of the rotation, but not considered one of the squad’s central figures—a frustration that has reportedly led him to reflect on his long-term future.
According to Anfield Watch, sources close to the situation have suggested that his contract is becoming a focal point. Without progress on a renewal, PSG would be inclined to sell, while Barcola may seek a move to a club prepared to build around his skill set and development trajectory.

Liverpool’s recruitment team, led by Richard Hughes and informed by Arne Slot’s long-term outlook, remain committed to adding a dynamic wide forward. Barcola’s profile—creative, mobile, and technically sharp—aligns with the attributes the club has prioritised in recent windows.
The Reds’ previous contact reflects a belief that he could thrive in their system, offering balance on the flanks and injecting fresh energy as the side evolves. The significant investment in Isak and Wirtz is not expected to alter their desire to strengthen depth and quality across the frontline.
While no move is imminent, the situation is likely to develop as the season progresses. If Barcola’s standing at PSG does not improve and contract talks remain static, opportunities could reopen for Liverpool to re-engage in discussions.
Given Liverpool’s sustained interest and ongoing search for another wide option, a major transfer involving Barcola cannot be ruled out. As with many high-profile recruitment processes at Anfield in recent years, patience, timing, and market dynamics will be decisive.
