Inter Milan have begun working on a deal for Christopher Nkunku and are in contact with his agents according to reports.
Chelsea have revamped their attack this summer with the signings of Liam Delap, Jamie Gittens and Joao Pedro, whilst both Xavi Simons and Alejandro Garnacho could still arrive.
These arrivals have pushed Nkunku down the pecking order, and he’s one of a number of players the Blues are looking to move on.
Armando Broja, Joao Felix and Noni Madueke have all left this summer, whilst Marc Guiu has departed on loan, and Nkunku is set to be the next attacker to leave.
Things simply haven’t worked out for the Frenchman following his £52m move from RB Leipzig in the summer of 2023.

Injuries have played a part, but he’s also struggled to find a position which suits him in Enzo Maresca’s system, although he did perform well at the Club World Cup.
Chelsea are said to have set their asking price for Nkunku at £43.3m, but as of yet they’ve received no official offers for the 27-year-old.
Newcastle and Nottingham Forest are said to be interested in Nkunku, although it’s believed Bayern Munich have cooled their interest since January.
However, it appears a new club have Nkunku on their radar, and according to journalist Matteo Moretto as cited on X.com, Inter are in contact with Nkunku’s agents and are starting to work on a deal.
With Nkunku heading out of Stamford Bridge, the Blues are working on a deal to bring in RB Leipzig star Simons.
Chelsea are locked in negotiations with Leipzig, who are said to want a total package of £60m for the Dutch international.

A verbal agreement with Simons is thought to be close, but the Blues are yet to reach an agreement on a fee with their German counterparts.
Simons wants to join Chelsea, and he can play both on the left and as a number ten, making him a great fit for Maresca’s system.
