Bosnia and Herzegovina struck first against Canada as Jovo Lukic turned in a corner shortly before the first-half cooling break.

The Universitatea-Cluj forward netted in the 21st minute, meeting a right-sided delivery that had been flicked on at the near post.

Shaken early on in their opening Group B match, Bosnia and Herzegovina held firm before capitalising from the set piece.

The match is being played at BMO Field in Toronto.

Backed by a home crowd, Canada remain in search of the first World Cup win in their history.
