Juan Bernat has been unveiled by Eibar, the former Benfica left-back becoming their latest signing in Spain’s second tier. The club said in a post that he had joined, without disclosing the length of his contract.
The 32-year-old Spaniard ended his association with PSG in summer 2025. He previously endured a disappointing stint at Benfica.
Bernat moved to the Estádio da Luz for 2023/24, the season after the title win, but his stay was short and he returned to PSG. He was among several recruits to leave quickly, with only Anatoliy Trubin and Gianluca Prestianni remaining from that group.
In 2024/25 he featured for Villarreal and Getafe, playing 27 competitive matches, 24 in La Liga and three in the Copa del Rey. Across 1,131 minutes, the left-back recorded two assists. He was valued at €1.5 million.
Bernat now turns his attention to Eibar, seeking a fresh start.
