Juan Sartori was at the heart of Sunderland's celebrations at St James' Park after a dramatic 2-1 Tyne-Wear derby win.
Sartori was seen pitchside before kick-off alongside fellow co-owner Kyril Louis-Dreyfus, underlining the scale of the occasion. Sunderland were chasing a league double over Newcastle.
They fell behind early, then turned it around with a decisive second half. Brian Brobbey struck late to seal it, sending the 2,000 travelling fans into wild celebrations.
After full-time, Sartori and Louis-Dreyfus reappeared on the concourse, mixing with supporters as the party continued. The pair were also visible near the away end, applauding and sharing the moment. It underlined a strengthening bond between the ownership and the fanbase.
The victory carried historic weight. Sunderland are unbeaten in their last 11 league derbies with Newcastle and have their first league double since 2014-15. Newcastle have not won a league derby since 2011 and last beat Sunderland at St James' Park in 2010.
Despite a lengthy injury list, Régis Le Bris' side showed character and control after the interval. Chemsdine Talbi, aged 20 years and 317 days, became Sunderland's youngest Premier League scorer against Newcastle.
Juan Sartori said in a post: "Last minute. Away from home. Sunderland 2-1. What a win. All heart. Right to the very end." The post, paired with red and white symbols and a compilation video of his day, chimed with the club's "Till the End" mantra.
