According to Sunderland Echo, Sunderland co-owner Juan Sartori was at the heart of celebrations as the club won the Tyne-Wear derby at St James's Park, then addressed supporters on social media. He featured prominently before and after the final whistle.

Sartori was seen pitchside before kick-off alongside fellow co-owner Kyril Louis-Dreyfus, both taking in the occasion ahead of one of the season's biggest fixtures. Sunderland were targeting a league double over Newcastle.

After falling behind, Sunderland came back to win 2-1, Brian Brobbey's late winner igniting wild celebrations among the 2,000 travelling fans. Post-match, Sartori and Louis-Dreyfus appeared on the concourse, mingling with supporters and applauding near the away section.

The result carried historic weight. Sunderland are unbeaten in their past 11 league meetings with Newcastle and have completed a first league double since 2014-15. Newcastle have not won a league derby since 2011 and last beat Sunderland at St James's Park in the league in 2010.

Despite a lengthy injury list, Régis Le Bris' side showed resolve, responding strongly after the early setback. The second half proved decisive, with Chemsdine Talbi becoming Sunderland's youngest Premier League scorer against Newcastle at 20 years and 317 days.

Sartori later hailed a last-minute away win and praised the team's heart to the final whistle. His post, featuring red and white symbols and a compilation of his day, echoed the club's 'Till the End' mantra.
