Julen Agirrezabala has resumed full training with Valencia, a significant development at the club's training ground this week. According to Superdeporte, after several weeks sidelined he is working normally and is again available to the coaching staff.
Before his setback, he was the undisputed number one. Corberán had cemented him as starter and his place was not in question.
In his absence, Stole Dimitrievski took over and delivered. The Macedonian international was central to wins against Getafe, Espanyol and Levante in three of the last six matches, strengthening his case to keep the shirt. His assurance in the air and sharp reactions have added stability to a team that needed certainty.
The landscape has shifted. What was a settled position now gives the Valencia coach a difficult decision. Dimitrievski's recent form offers a strong argument to continue.
Agirrezabala's return does not automatically hand back the gloves. The staff must weigh his previous status against the current momentum with Dimitrievski. It represents a challenge rather than a problem for the Valencia coach.
