Leeds United target Julian Brandt has been linked with Real Betis, but the La Liga side are not believed to see him as a fit, despite a training ground visit by his father.
El Correo de Andalucía reports that Brandt was ‘offered’ to Betis, yet the club do not view the attacking midfielder as part of their current plans. Jürgen Brandt, his father and agent, was seen at the Luis del Sol Sports City.
The Germany international is a free agent after leaving Borussia Dortmund and is assessing his options for next season. Leeds would like to bring him to Elland Road this summer, valuing his experience and Champions League pedigree.
Reports have suggested La Liga is among Brandt’s preferred destinations. Betis finished fifth last season, securing a Champions League place.
Former Leeds players Junior Firpo, Diego Llorente and Marc Roca featured in that campaign. Back in West Yorkshire, Leeds are expected to confirm the already agreed signing of Harry Wilson in the coming days, and defender Pascal Struijk is set for a move to Brighton.
