Real Betis do not view Leeds United target Julian Brandt as the right profile for their plans.
El Correo de Andalucía reports that Brandt was ‘offered’ to the La Liga side, and that his father and agent, Jürgen Brandt, visited the Luis del Sol Sports City to view facilities. The club, however, are not convinced he fits what they are looking for.
Leeds would like to bring the Germany international to Elland Road this summer, valuing his experience and Champions League pedigree. The former Borussia Dortmund midfielder is a free agent and is assessing his options for next season. La Liga is understood to be among his preferred destinations.
Betis finished fifth in La Liga last season, securing a Champions League place. Former Leeds players Junior Firpo, Diego Llorente and Marc Roca all featured in their league campaign.
Leeds are expected to confirm the already-agreed signing of Harry Wilson in the coming days. Defender Pascal Struijk is set for a move to Brighton.
