Santos football director Júnior Bozzella has filed a police report alleging threats and intimidation by Sangue Jovem leader Rafael at Vila Belmiro. He also says club president Marcelo Teixeira was insulted online.

According to Diario Do Peixe, the confrontation occurred on Thursday as Bozzella arrived for internal duties, when he was approached at Gate 16 by Rafael and other members. He felt at risk, club security intervened and escorted him inside, and no injuries were reported.

In the filing, Bozzella described direct provocations and threats to assault him, including claims the matter would not be forgotten.

Recent tensions preceded the clash, with Rafael publicly confronting Gabriel Barbosa during his presentation at Vila Belmiro, an attitude witnesses say Bozzella reprimanded.

Bozzella was not at the club that day, as he was with Kauan Basile’s father on contract talks in his role on the Management Committee. He believes Thursday’s incident was linked to Santos declining to fund buses for the organised fans to travel to São Carlos for the under-20 match against Cruzeiro at 21:30 on Friday in the Copinha.

Known for liaising with organised supporters, Bozzella’s role has made the episode sensitive inside the club. Santos is considering adjusting its stance towards the group.

Rafael’s defence, via lawyer Ricardo, denied any threat, said the exchange was misinterpreted, and added that the matter had been clarified with Marcelo Teixeira.
