Just An Enquiry – Tottenham Ask About Star Amid Djed Spence Exit | OneFootball

Tottenham Hotspur have made an enquiry about Juventus defender Andrea Cambiaso in the midst of Djed Spence’s exit for Inter Milan.

Juventus signed the 26-year-old full back from Genoa in the summer of 2022 and he has been a regular in the Old Lady’s defence for the last two seasons.

Early in the summer, Cambiaso was linked with a move to the Premier League, with Liverpool and Tottenham being among his admirers.

Tottenham have already signed Andrew Robertson from Liverpool, adding an experienced option at left-back.

There could though be left-back exits with Spence having arrived in Italy for a medical with Inter Milan, while Souza is being chased by FC Porto.

If Spence is followed by Souza going out of the door then Tottenham may wish to act in the market and they have an interest in Cambiaso.

According to Italian journalist Stefano Nesti, Tottenham have gone in with an enquiry about the defender.

At the moment, Tottenham would not be prepared to pay Juventus’ asking price for Cambiaso, but that may not be the end of the story.

The Bianconeri are suggested to value him at around the €40m mark and with Tottenham needing to spend cash in the final third, they appear to feel Cambiaso is not a priority now.

Cambiaso, despite being a left-sided player, can operate from the right side as well and has proven his versatility for Juventus in recent seasons.

In the past the Juventus star has been linked with a move to the Premier League and Nottingham Forest were among his admirers last summer.

All eyes will now be on further defensive exits from Tottenham and whether that reshapes the situation around Cambiaso, prompting Spurs to make an offer for the Italian in the coming weeks.
