Black-and-yellow jerseys, flags, and scarves had already defined the scene outside the stadium and in the stands two years ago. BVB fans turned the Volkspark into a home-game atmosphere. On the pitch, the pros completed the experience with a 4–1 win.

Fans can also look forward to an extraordinary atmosphere against HEBC. By Friday, the Oberliga club had already sold 39,400 tickets. Even though the stadium’s maximum capacity of 57,000 spectators is not expected to be reached, president Konstantin Zimmermann is delighted with the response: “It’s already outstanding. The dream has already come true.”
