Juventus legend Giorgio Chiellini will reportedly sign a deal with Los Angeles FC in the “coming days”.
News of the impending agreement was broken by transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.
ESPN have since reported a source within the club has confirmed the move is a mere formality.
The 37-year-old central defender is expected to sign the contract in London, and will relocate to California over the next few weeks.
Chiellini announced earlier this month that he would be leaving Juve after 18 trophy-laden seasons in Turin.
He will play his 117th and final international game for Italy in Wednesday’s Finalissima clash with South American champions Argentina at Wembley.
His signing will be a major coup for LAFC, who are currently four points clear in the MLS Western Conference standings.
