Since his arrival in Serie A, no one has performed better than him.
In seven league games, Donyell Malen has scored six goals, the last coming in the big match at the Olimpico, a 3-3 draw against Juventus.
Juventus itself, according to today’s edition of Tuttosport, is kicking itself for not beating Roma to the transfer market and bringing the Dutch striker to Continassa this season.
The surprises, however, don’t end there. Luciano Spalletti is very keen on the former Aston Villa player, and the Juventus management will do everything they can to snatch him from Roma next summer.
The Oranje striker will most likely be bought by the Trigoria club for around €25 million, a figure that could have already skyrocketed after his first two months in Italy.
And so Juventus, who will be searching for a striker this summer, will try to push for Malen. A strong offer from the “Old Lady” cannot be ruled out, as they are dissatisfied with their current strikers: from David to Openda, not to mention the injured Vlahovic.
In addition to the former Dortmund and PSV player, Juve is closely monitoring the profiles of Tottenham’s Kolo Muani, Crystal Palace’s Mateta, and Atlético Madrid’s Sorloth.
The transfer market is temporarily closed but rumours are already swirling and Malen’s name looks set to be the talk of the town next summer.
