Juventus have identified Sevilla’s Juanlu Sanchez as a primary candidate to bolster their defensive options and as a potential replacement for Pierre Kalulu.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio, the 22-year-old Spaniard has emerged as a concrete target for the Bianconeri in the final stretch of the January window. Sanchez, who can operate both as a right-back and in midfield, is well-known to Italian scouts, having been monitored by several Serie A clubs in previous transfer sessions.
Juventus are looking to structure the deal as an initial loan with an option to buy, a formula that would allow them to evaluate the player before committing to a permanent transfer in the summer. However, Sevilla’s stance on such a proposal remains to be seen, as the Andalusian club may prefer a more certain financial return for one of their homegrown assets.
With the clock ticking toward the deadline, Juve are expected to initiate formal contact with the Spanish side to understand if there is a margin to negotiate for the Olympic gold medalist.
