Juventus are keeping tabs on Brentford defender Michael Kayode as the Serie A giants look to bring more Italian talent into their squad, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.

Bianconeri chief executive Giovanni Carnevali and sporting director Ricky Massara want to build a stronger Italian core at the club, a model that has worked for Paris Saint-Germain.

At first, the Parisian club sought to assemble the best from around the globe, but after prioritising French players, they broke their duck and won the Champions League.

Juventus are now focusing on young players who can develop into key figures for the future.

Kayode is among the defenders on their radar. He has continued to make significant progress since moving to the Premier League.

The 21-year-old came through Juventus’ youth system before joining Fiorentina, where he established himself as one of Italy’s most promising full-backs.

His performances earned him a move to Brentford in January 2025. Juventus have continued to monitor Kayode’s development since he left.

In his first full season at Brentford, he contributed a goal and created four big chances in 37 league appearances.

He helped keep eight clean sheets, winning 60 percent of his aerial and 57% of his ground duels.

He has been one of the early standouts of the new English campaign, catching the eye with his ability to get up and down the right flank.

However, any attempt to bring him back to Turin will be complicated by his potentially enormous price tag.

Kayode has bolstered his international profile after netting on his debut for Italy as they beat Turkey 4-1 in the UEFA Nations League.

He was also part of the Azzurri team that drew 1-1 with France yesterday.

Brentford will demand an arm and a leg to let him go.

Interestingly, Kayode is not the only Italian talent Juventus are tracking.

The 36-time Serie A champions are also monitoring Frosinone goalkeeper Lorenzo Palmisani, while Cher Ndour, Davide Frattesi and Cagliari’s Alessandro Romano are attracting attention.

Frosinone’s Antonio Raimondo and Borussia Dortmund’s Samuele Inacio are also on Juventus’ radar.
