Juventus manager Igor Tudor has offered a defiant stance on his job security amid the club’s recent difficult run, including a Champions League defeat to Real Madrid.
Facing the press ahead of the match against Lazio, the Croatian coach dismissed any speculation about his position, declaring he has “zero” fear of being sacked.
Tudor insists he is fully focused on his mission and remains optimistic about the team’s direction, despite the pressure.
He said, via TuttoJuve: “Sacking? From 0 to 10 this fear is zero. I enjoy everything even in difficulty and I have everything very clear in my head. This is giving me strength and I try to put myself in balance to try to do better. I think 24 hours a day about motivating and getting the best out of the team.”
The coach also revealed his positive feelings following the narrow loss in the Spanish capital, viewing it as a constructive challenge for his side.
“My feeling after Madrid is positive even if we lost. We want to try to win and be a team. We must stay focused.”
The last time the Bianconeri won a game of football was on the 13th of September, when they beat Inter in dramatic circumstances.
Since then, things have been difficult. While there were promising signs against Real Madrid, Lazio will be no pushovers and have been rather unpredictable in the entire season. The Old Lady will look to win the game and Tudor will look to save his job.
