Juventus Drop Asking Price for Dusan Vlahovic as Premier League Interest Lingers

Vlahovic Faces Uncertain Future as Juve Lower Demands

Juventus have dramatically reduced their asking price for Serbian striker Dusan Vlahovic to €15 million, a sharp drop from their original valuation of €30 million, according to TEAMtalk. The move is designed to avoid losing the forward on a free transfer in 2026 and to ease the burden of his considerable salary.

It is a significant change in stance for Juventus, who once viewed Vlahovic as a long-term spearhead. But with time ticking, pragmatism has taken over sentiment. As TEAMtalk put it, “Vlahovic is still waiting for a move to a top Premier League club, taking his time before making a decision. However, none of the clubs currently exploring the possibility of signing him – especially in Italy – are ready to meet his high salary demands.”

The willingness to accept just £12.9 million reflects a shift in priorities in Turin. Juventus are now more concerned with financial flexibility and squad renewal than maintaining Vlahovic’s value.

Premier League Clubs Yet to Make a Move

While Nottingham Forest and Aston Villa have previously shown interest, there has been no formal progress in negotiations. The report confirms that despite curiosity from England, offers remain absent.

Transfer insider Graeme Bailey shared, “There is interest in England in Vlahovic, but I can confirm no offers are on the table in the Premier League for him, as yet.”

Juventus may have hoped that the reduced fee would trigger immediate action from Premier League sides. Yet Vlahovic, still just 24, appears to be biding his time, potentially waiting for a top-six club to intervene.

Milan Step Into Frame as Allegri Influence Grows

With Premier League talks stalled, AC Milan have emerged as a serious contender. The appointment of former Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri at San Siro has reopened the door for a domestic switch. TEAMtalk reports that Allegri’s presence could be crucial in convincing Vlahovic to remain in Serie A.

Bailey noted, “There was a suspicion amongst the clubs that he was waiting for other interest, and now something has come up at Milan with Allegri’s move to the club. I am told that, as it stands, they are firm favourites for Vlahovic, but that could change.”

If Milan’s interest results in an offer, it could force Premier League clubs to act quickly or risk missing out entirely.

Manchester United Option Involving Sancho and Swap Deals

There may yet be a path to the Premier League via Manchester United. Juventus have made overtures toward signing Jadon Sancho, and as part of that, they have reportedly offered United a choice of two players: Vlahovic or Douglas Luiz. A straight swap is under discussion, although it remains to be seen whether United will entertain such a deal.

Should Vlahovic become part of an exchange for Sancho, it would represent an unexpected but strategic route into English football. For Juventus, it offers a solution that clears wages and adds value in return.

Our View – EPL Index Analysis

There is frustration among the Bianconeri faithful, but also an understanding of the reality. Many Juventus supporters were excited when Vlahovic joined from Fiorentina. He was seen as the natural heir to past greats, a powerful presence capable of leading the line for years. But his form has been uneven, and his wages have become a burden on a club that is now recalibrating under financial pressure.

Letting him leave for €15 million feels like poor business on the surface, yet fans recognise the context. Others might point to the lack of consistency and question whether his ambition truly matches the club’s needs.

If Milan do secure him, it will sting. Seeing Vlahovic play under Allegri again, but in red and black, could be difficult to stomach. Yet if Juventus can use the funds and free up wages to bring in a proven goalscorer who fits their tactical model better, it could prove a necessary sacrifice.
