According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Juventus coach Igor Tudor is considering changing system to start Jonathan David and Dusan Vlahovic, but what are the pros and cons of a tactical transformation?
Juventus have welcomed several new attacking players this season, yet they are struggling to create consistent goal-scoring opportunities.
Coach Tudor has been using a 3-4-2-1 system featuring Kenan Yildiz and another attacking midfielder, usually Francisco Conceiçao, behind a centre-forward, but even if Juventus are still unbeaten this season, the strikers are struggling to match expectations.

Vlahovic is the top goal scorer at the Allianz Stadium with four goals scored, all as a substitute.
David has netted just once since joining the Old Lady on a free transfer in July, and Lois Openda has yet to score his first goal in a black and white shirt.

The only significant tactical change from Tudor came in the final minutes of a home game against Milan before the break, when the Croatian tactician switched to a 3-5-2 system after Yildiz was subbed off.
It’s also worth mentioning that David started alongside Openda against Borussia Dortmund in September, but the Canadian played as an attacking midfielder against in that game, so the Juventus’ formation didn’t really change.

Gazzetta insists Tudor is considering changing the system after the break, playing Yildiz behind two central strikers.
In this scenario, the Bianconeri would have a more significant presence in the final third with two centre forwards and a creative attacking midfielder behind them.
At the same time, however, new signing Edon Zhegrova and Portugal international Francisco Conceiçao, possibly Juventus’ best player in October, would only get playing time as Yildiz’s replacements.
Juventus return to action in an away game at Como next Sunday with kick-off time at 12:30 CET.
