Juventus reaches full agreement to sign Nick Woltemade from Newcastle | OneFootball

Juventus and Newcastle United have reached a full agreement for the transfer of Nick Woltemade on loan for the rest of this season, with the German set to travel today to complete the move.

Woltemade became an important target for Juventus after the club reached an agreement to send Jonathan David on loan to Atletico Madrid and failed to make significant progress in their efforts to sign Joshua Zirkzee from Manchester United. The Bianconeri therefore turned their attention towards another striker who could strengthen their squad.

The German has struggled in England, partly because he was signed to replace Alexander Isak, who had been in terrific form for the Premier League club. Woltemade has tried his best to handle the expectations placed on him, but replacing a player of Isak’s quality was always going to be difficult.

Woltemade agrees Juventus move

According to Fabrizio Romano, Juventus have now reached a full agreement with Newcastle United to bring Woltemade to Turin on loan. The move will allow the German to continue the season with Luciano Spalletti’s team while allowing him to regain his confidence.

Woltemade could benefit from leaving England after struggling to establish himself at Newcastle. A temporary move to Juventus should provide him with a fresh environment and an opportunity to demonstrate the qualities that made him such a highly regarded forward.

The Bianconeri have been looking for another striker, and Woltemade now appears to be the solution they wanted. His arrival also gives Spalletti another attacking option for the remainder of the campaign.

Spalletti backs German striker

Spalletti believes Woltemade plays in a manner that suits Juventus and should be able to make an impact in Turin. The German is a very tall forward, giving the team another option in attack and a different profile from other players in the squad.

Woltemade was also a target for Bayern Munich before he moved to the Premier League for a significant fee, demonstrating the level of interest he generated before joining Newcastle.

The move to Juventus could now provide him with an opportunity to rediscover his form and fulfil his potential. For the Bianconeri, securing his services on loan gives them a new attacking option without requiring a permanent commitment at this stage.

Woltemade is expected to travel today to complete the transfer and begin his new chapter in Turin.
