Juventus, the Mooca club, are back in Paulista A1 after 19 years and now target a Brasileiro return and a modernised Rua Javari, a tourist draw for old-school football. As reported by Globo.com.
They face Ferroviária in the A2 final on Wednesday at 19:15 Brasília time in Araraquara. After a 0-0 first leg, Juventus must win to take the title.
Promotion came seven months after adopting a SAF, with Contea Capital buying 90% and pledging R$480 million over 10 years. CEO Cláudio Fiorito says Série D access is the priority to secure a regular calendar next year and attract desired players.
Early moves included swapping Rua Javari’s natural turf for synthetic, a divisive call among fans. Football operations were rebuilt, with performance analysis, nutrition, physiology and medical areas reinforced.
Scouting was upgraded via a partnership with Football PRO Performance. Director Arthur Fraga says the intelligence unit maps all national competitions, monitors Brazilian players abroad and has more than two thousand profiled.
The headline find is Elkin Muñoz, 20, A2 top scorer with seven, an Emelec graduate who played the 2025 South American Under-20 before joining. He credits the fans’ affection for his form, and Ecuador flags now appear at Rua Javari.
Focus shifts to the Copa Paulista, with plans to keep the A2 squad and push for the title. The champion chooses the 2027 Copa do Brasil or Série D, and Juventus have opted for a Brasileiro berth, seeking to lift Conde Rodolfo Crespi’s capacity to 15,000 from 5,000.
