Kaiki called up by Brazil to replace Alex Sandro after injury

On Sunday, Carlo Ancelotti called up Cruzeiro left-back Kaiki, 23, to replace the injured Alex Sandro for Brazil's upcoming friendlies against France and Croatia.
According to L'Équipe, Brazil face France in Boston on Thursday at 21:00, then meet Croatia in Orlando on Sunday.
Alex Sandro, formerly of Juventus and now at Flamengo, was injured during the 1-1 league draw with Corinthians.
A youth international with 11 caps at U20 level and two at U23, Kaiki is set to make his senior bow during these 2026 World Cup warm-ups.
This season he has played 16 games in all competitions for Cruzeiro, supplying three assists.
He has won two titles, the 2022 Serie B with Cruzeiro and the 2023 CONMEBOL U20 Championship in Colombia with Brazil's U20s.
