Kaio César’s arrival at Corinthians has been pushed back at Al-Hilal’s request, with the 21-year-old expected to feature in two more matches before travelling to Brazil. Meu Timao reports that he remains on course to join after fulfilling these commitments.
The Saudi club are managing key absences, including goalkeeper Bono and centre-back Koulibaly, so the forward will stay under Simone Inzaghi for league games against Al-Fayha on Thursday and Al-Riyadh on Sunday.
He is then due in São Paulo next week for medicals at CT Dr. Joaquim Grava, ahead of signing and confirmation. The deal is a loan with an option to buy set at 6 million euros for 50% of his rights, with Corinthians paying his wages. He is contracted to Al-Hilal until June 2028.
Corinthians tracked him last season but a Fifa transfer ban halted progress. This term he has made 14 appearances since August, six as a starter, scoring once with three assists. A right winger requested by Dorival Júnior, he is seen as adding depth and pace to the attack.
Before moving to Saudi Arabia he played for Coritiba and Vitória de Guimarães. Corinthians have already added three signings this window, centre-back Gabriel Paulista, right-back Pedro Milans and midfielder Matheus Pereira.
