Kaizer Chiefs were held to a one-all draw by Marumo Gallants in a Betway Premiership encounter at FNB Stadium on Wednesday.
The Soweto giants took the lead through Khanyisa Mayo, who netted his debut goal in the 39th minute after completing a season-long loan from CR Belouizdad of Algeria.
Bahlabane Ba Ntwa were inspired to a comeback by second half substitute Jaisen Clifford, who curled one past Brandon Petersen and into the top corner in the 75th minute.
As a result, Chiefs are now winless in their last two league outings as they suffered a defeat to Sekhukhune United prior to the Gallants stalemate.
Amakhosi are in third place with 14 points amassed in seven matches and trail log leaders Sekhukhune with five points, having played one game more.
Meanwhile, the Bloemfontein-based outfit moved up to ninth place on the table after picking up 10 points from eight matches.
Gallants are on a six-game winless streak, with their last victory dating back to August in a 2-1 win over Orlando Pirates.
Interestingly, Gallants picked up five points out of a possible nine against the PSL traditional big three teams.
