Kaizer Chiefs have been dealt with a major setback as two key players won't be available for selection ahead of their next league outing.
The Soweto giants return to Betway Premiership action with a clash against an ambitious Durban City side at FNB Stadium on Sunday, 15 March.
Chiefs are currently on a four-game losing streak across all competitions, with their last win dating back to 08 February in the CAF Confederation Cup against Al Masry SC of Egypt.
Now, Amakhosi will have to face the KwaZulu-Natal outfit without the services of anchor man Sibongiseni Mthethwa and defender Aden McCarthy.
The duo will be serving a one-match suspension after picking up their fourth cautions in the recent league defeat to Richards Bay on Tuesday.
Furthermore, Chiefs captain and goalkeeper Brandon Petersen is unavailable for selection after going under the knife, while Given Msimango and Rushwin Dortley are still injured.
Meanwhile, influential centre-back Inacio Miguel was replaced in the starting XI against the NatalRichBoyz after picking up an injury during the warm-ups.
With pressure mounting on co-coaches Cedric Kaze and Khalil Ben Youssef, it remains to be seen how sixth-placed Chiefs will fare against City, with maximum points on the line.
