Harry Kane made Bundesliga history as Bayern Munich produced a devastating attacking display to thrash Union Berlin 7-0 at the Allianz Arena.
The England captain reached 100 Bundesliga goals faster than any player in the competition’s history, achieving the landmark in just 98 appearances. The previous record belonged to Dieter Müller, who needed 129 matches for Cologne - 31 more than Kane.
Bayern took control in the 18th minute when Jamal Musiala collected Alphonso Davies’ pass before curling a superb effort into the far corner.
Kane then converted from the penalty spot in the 39th minute after Michael Olise was brought down by Tom Rothe, reaching his historic century in style.
Olise added another four minutes before the interval, cutting inside from the edge of the area and finding the bottom corner to give Bayern a commanding 3-0 lead.
Kane struck again nine minutes into the second half, rising to head home Olise’s excellent cross and move onto 101 Bundesliga goals.
The hosts continued to overwhelm Union, with Ismael Saibari scoring his first Bayern goal in the 70th minute.
Olise then took over, rounding goalkeeper Frederik Rønnow to make it six before producing the goal of the night three minutes later, curling a stunning long-range effort into the top corner to complete his hat-trick.
Kane now has six goals in seven appearances this season and 152 goals in 154 matches for Bayern in all competitions since joining from Tottenham in 2023.
The victory keeps Vincent Kompany’s side unbeaten after four Bundesliga games and lifts them to 10 points, while Kane’s extraordinary scoring record further strengthens his case for the Ballon d’Or.
