Kaoru Mitoma has been pictured working in the gym with Albion team-mates as he continues rehabilitation from a hamstring injury. The winger has been sidelined since the latter stages of last season.

According to TheArgus.co.uk, a club photo gallery published on Wednesday showed Mitoma alongside players including Georginio Rutter during exercises at Lancing. Rutter has missed recent matches with an ankle injury and is believed to be closing in on a return.

There is no specific return date for Mitoma, though the image of him working has excited supporters. Fans will now look for footage of him progressing to outdoor, match-style sessions on the grass.

Albion visit Coventry City on Sunday, then face Manchester United away in the Carabao Cup in midweek. Head coach Fabian Hurzeler has already ruled Mitoma out of those games.

Speaking last Friday, Hurzeler said any return would definitely be after the international break. He urged patience, noted the side have adapted without their natural wingers, and said they want them back as quickly as possible.
