Brighton winger Kaoru Mitoma faces a scan after going off with a suspected hamstring problem, raising concern ahead of next Sunday’s trip to Leeds United, according to the club’s official website.

Fabian Hurzeler’s side beat already relegated Wolves 3-0 on Saturday, with the Japan international withdrawn in the 58th minute.

Post-match, head coach Hurzeler said it looked like a hamstring issue and that Brighton must wait for the scan results, while admitting it did not look great.

Leeds host high-flying Brighton in their final home game of the season at Elland Road next Sunday. The Seagulls have won seven of their last 10 matches.

Brighton will assess Mitoma once the scan is completed, with Hurzeler maintaining a positive outlook despite his initial impression.
