Al-Hilal have signed Karim Benzema on a free transfer, with the French forward agreeing a one and a half-year deal to represent the first team. The club said in a statement that the Al-Hilal Club Company, headed by His Highness Prince Nawaf bin Saad, completed the move.

Benzema is regarded as one of the world’s most prominent players, with 34 club trophies to his name. His haul includes five FIFA Club World Cups, five UEFA Champions League titles and four La Liga crowns with Real Madrid.

He also won four Ligue 1 titles during his time at Lyon.

At international level he has 97 appearances for France, winning the UEFA Nations League and featuring at the World Cup.

Individually, Benzema has collected the Ballon d'Or and the UEFA Best Player in Europe Award. He has also been top scorer in numerous international competitions.
