Chelsea Women have announced the signing of Czech international midfielder Kateřina Svitková.

The 26-year-old joins Emma Hayes’ side from West Ham United, where she scored five goals in her 34 appearances for the club.

No West Ham player bettered Svitková’s return of six direct goal involvements in the WSL last season.

Before her stint in east London she bagged an impressive 188 goals in 177 games for Slavia Prague.

The midfielder made her debut for Czech Republic in a World Cup qualifier against Italy as a 17-year-old.
