Brentford have tied Keith Andrews to a long-term deal with the head coach signing on with the club until the end of the 2031/32 season.
Andrews had big shoes to fill when he replaced Thomas Frank in the summer on a three-year deal Expectations were low for the Bees this season but the former player has breathed new life into Brentford despite the departures of several key players last year.
The club's director of football Phil Giles said the intention for the club was to always look at Andrews' deal at the earliest possibility.
"Given our progress this season, I’m really happy that we have agreed this extension within the first nine months," Giles said.
"Keith has done an outstanding job, the team are playing well and the things we thought we could be better at this season have all improved.
"He is a really good fit for the club and the way we like to work, as he is able to bring the best out of both players and staff alike.
"Everyone at Brentford will be pleased to hear that Keith will be with us for many years to come, and I’m excited by what we can all achieve together in the coming seasons."
Seventh-placed Brentford are back in action on Saturday as they travel to Turf Moor to take on struggling Burnley.
